Join us in welcoming Kyle Ronning to our Engineering Team! Prior to Kipsu, Kyle was involved in a couple early stage start ups as well as being a "solopreneur" building custom web applications. Outside of work, Kyle enjoys coaching hockey, playing golf and tennis, and nerding out on personal finance. We're thrilled to have him join the Kipsu team and asked Kyle to share his thoughts on Kipsu so far.
I really liked the phase of growth Kipsu is currently in and the potential problems the engineering team will have to tackle as we continue to grow.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful making it easy to meet a lot of people across departments quickly and learn about different ways to get plugged in.
I think from a high level, there are a lot of fun challenges for the engineering team to tackle as we continue to grow and stabilize our codebases and systems. I'm looking forward to those challenges and helping shape our team as we continue to grow.
Go Beyond Together - I resonated with the part that says "We hire bright, high potential employees...". As a hockey coach, I see a lot of potential in the players I coach and try to help draw it out and help them develop. This core value feels familiar in successful sports teams, but I haven't encountered it much in my work career so it really stuck out to me.
I think it would be really interesting to sit down with Bryson DeChambeau. He's a professional golfer that is very analytical and approaches the game differently than almost anyone else. He utilizes various math and sciences with the intent to make the game simpler for him and hopefully others. I find him super interesting.
