With summer officially here, Kipsuvians took to the outdoors to volunteer with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation at Elliot Park. Each quarter, Kipsu partners with a local non-profit and the whole team is invited to take a Friday afternoon to give back to the community. Last quarter we suited up in hairnets and booties to volunteer with the Second Harvest Heartland, but this time around called for shorts and garden gloves. Elliot Park is one of the oldest neighborhood communities in Minneapolis and is located by Downtown Minneapolis. The neighborhood's namesake park contains a recreation center which hosts many activities and events such as sport leagues, nature programs, movies in the park, and much more. We had a blast learning about the community, digging in the dirt, and working with our hands!
We had a great time being outside and helping Elliot Park be ready for the summer for all to enjoy! A huge thank you to the Minneapolis Park and Recreation for hosting us and we look forward to our next volunteering opportunity.
We're looking for motivated people to join our growing team in Minneapolis. See our careers page to view all open positions and submit an application.
